Bad Pest Control

rat poison out in the open

2017 ended and 2018 started with Rodent problems, but this year was a little different. For some reason, we are getting a lot of calls from clients of other pest control companies saying they are really not happy with the service they are getting.
This ranges from just turning up and chucking bait down and leaving. to keeping jobs going for nearly a year as they cant get control.

To us, at shire pest solutions this is just not acceptable, clients deserve our time and knowledge after all they just don't want bait put down to kill the rodents they want the problem solved.
I'm not saying every problem can be solved easily as there are many issues that can stop us from doing this whether its a neighbour that won't allow us access to there property or a building that has no access to the areas needed.

Does this mean we give up, the answer to that is no? We have to adapt to every situation to find a solution to your specific problem.
This could be in the form of trapping, electronic monitoring, fitting a one-way drain blocker, cutting back foliage, putting down poison, trail cams and so on.
What should you as a client expect for your money,

Turning up on time
A specific time or time range should be given, and you should be able to expect that the technician will arrive within a reasonable period of the scheduled time. Or, they have been delayed for any reason, you should receive a phone call about the delay – and the option to reschedule if that no longer fits your schedule.

Inspection and identification
They should inspect the problem area you discussed and other areas where the pest is likely to be. The inspection should also include positive identification of the pest, in order for correct treatment to be made.

Communication/Recommendations
Once the treatment has been done, the pest technician should talk to you again, telling you what has been done – where, why, and how; telling you any precautions you may need to take for yourself, pets and children, then telling you any recommendations you need to take and if needed any follow up they will make.

Service Report
In addition to discussing the information with you, the service technician should provide you with a service report this can be written or more common now is a VR report sent to your email. This will have all the info you need on it.

We have turned up at clients houses and they haven't been told anything at all, no paperwork left and they have no clue on what was done or what poisons have been used.
If you are unhappy with the service you have got or it's not been sorted, give us a call at shire pest solutions
