Do you need a wasp nest treated or removed

wasp nest treatment and removal

In most circumstances a wasp nest will not need to be removed, the treatment of a wasp nest with an insecticide powder is enough to kill all the wasps living it that nest within a few hours.

Once we have treated the nest it is usually left and will not be used again by other wasps, as its one queen per wasp nest for that season and it will never be used again.

Some occasions removing a wasp nest will need to take place, maybe due to its location or being a hazard.
If this arises the nest will first need to be treated as to kill all the wasps in the nest and also the returning wasps. Then the wasp nest removal can be done usually a few days later for safety reasons.

If an emergency wasp nest removal needs to be done, there are aerosol insecticides that can be sprayed into the nest which will kill all the wasps which are inside the nest almost instantly. However, these quick-acting aerosols do not kill the wasps which are out foraging for food.
