Wasps are a problem when eating outside

problem with wasps when eating outside

It's that time of the year when we venture outside to use our BBQ’s and eat outside, to enjoy the sun after a cold winter and we find ourselves being bothered by wasps. Early in spring it maybe one or two but in the summer months they can appear everywhere and it is that time of year when wasp pots can come into their own to help protect the areas where you are eating from foraging wasps.
Wasp Pots can be use in food storage and processing areas, on patios and around the BBQ, in beer gardens and around caravan sites.

The wasp trap uses a liquid bait to attract wasps which then get caught in the wasp trap.
The wasp trap should be serviced regularly, removing dead insects and re-filling with fresh liquid wasp bait as this is a must to keep the wasp traps in full working order otherwise it is just a waste of time and money.

There are lots of different wasp traps that can be used and attractants and they vary in size and cost but they have one thing in common they all work but some work better than others as they say you get what you pay for and it's very true with wasp pots.
We use the right traps for the size of the area we are protecting as no two sites are the same.
